Achievements:
  • 2010 recipient of the MARGIE KLEIN "PAPER PLATE" SCHOLARSHIP. Helen received a complimentary registration for the Annual AATH (Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor) conference in Disneyland (Anaheim, CA) in April, 2010 for this scholarship. She submitted an essay describing how she used humour to help her in work-related situations; such as forming positive, therapeutic working relationships with some of the most dangerous and violent men in Canada in a group treatment setting; connecting through laughter with female offenders; and being able to laugh away stress with colleagues.
